Colin opened for the Flatlanders last night on Long Island, he had a great set, but this song definetly stood out as one of the best

My niece told me a funny coincidence last year. It turns out that one of her very good friends from college moved back to Austin and works with Colin. Isn't that a kick? I can only shake my head and repeat that, 'six degrees of separation' is so true! And don't ask me what she does exactly except that i know they have something to do with the Southwest Festival.

He absolutely did write it. His version with the full band can be heard on his MySpace page. Colin said he's working on a new CD to be released not too far in the future.
He gets better and better every time I hear him. His story telling was witty and engaged the crowd readily. Besides all that he's a really sweet guy. Reminds me of Jimmie Dale Gilmore for SOME REASON! ;)
