From what I read, John Phillips really blew it when he did not give the album to a major label. They would've made it a hit if he had just quit his demand for the album to be released on his own independant label. A sorry fate for such a nostalgic, funny, sexy, playful, wonderfully produced piece of work! At least you can still buy it on CD.

I was priviledged to see Genevieve perform this live with John at their opening night in the Paradise Room at Reno Sweeney in NYC. Sexy & fun. A wonderful night. Thanks for the memory.
