Soul funk psychedelic, and R&B with a tinge of gospel. That's what you get with Sly. This is one of my favorite cuts. There's an editing slip-up @ the three minute mark but the studio heads musta been so high they didn't notice. But that bass and that string section blend like brown sugar and butta. Inhale.

Alot of what u heard from Sly seemed created from a drugged state, but i would like to believe a greater part of this was just his sound. But i can say this, whatever his state of consciencness, its better than alot of what is fed to us today......much luv Sly

@roscoegino I have to agree with your sentiment of the 3:00 mark... the engineers were probably sharing their cocaine intake with Sly lol that being said, great song.

@timmy841212 Yeah. Rose Stone also made a noticeable mistake on "Que Sera Sera" from the Fresh album. According to their first biography, the band spent hours and hours in the studio ... then they sang.
