Somebody posted Pearlean Gray's version.
I like them all, though I still think Chuck Jackson's was the best.

Please try to find this song by Chuck Jackson.
Also, look for "Beg Me" by Chuck

sounds like is from ther 70s or more recent. I like Steve Alaimo's version the best

I would love it if someone posted Big Maybelle's version of this song (1964). Her version was the flip side of "Yesterday's Kisses" and on Scepter Recors.

Never heard this Jay & the Americans version of "I Don't Want to Cry" - it's great! Sounds like it's from their later "This Magic Moment" phase..? If anyone wants to hear the BEST version of "I Don't Want to Cry" (yes, even better than Chuck Jackson's excellent original!) try to find Pearlean Gray & the Passengers version on Green Sea Records (Hartford CT, late '65-66). Vocals & harmonies absolutely SOAR, w/a 4 Tops "I Can't Help Myself" bass rhythm - OUT OF THIS WORLD! Someone plz post it!

And I totally agree with you once again. Thanks for your comments.

Totally agree...Jay's voice is magnificent.

A great vocal workout. Smooth and a great rendition. Should have been a single release.
I just love Jay's voice, the Wax Museum is my favorite JATA disc.
