A 4 mile walk along the great route up and along Mam Tor to Hollin's Cross from Edale - although there was something slowing us down and stopping us seeing the old hill top fort...

Presented by Leah Hather.

  • I've walked this or similar several times, I prefer to take the loop from castleton rather than edale so you approach the ridgeline from the south

  • @jimbarter Yes, that's another great walk too. What others do you suggest?

  • id love to do that ..........

  • Nice video - i know the area well - fantastic anytime of year.

  • Excellent.

  • I've taken that route up Mam Tor in the dark, its no fun, especially when its muddy and youre exhausted after a 12 mile walk over Kinder Scout!!

Great video...i could listen to you for hours Leah :)

  • Phil @WalkTalkTours - Excellent job. Memories of #uksnow earlier in the year!

  • I look like I'm going to fall at any moment, haha. - great stuff, it was tough that walk but so beautiful.

  • Onwards and Upwards! Lol.

  • Nicely produced video. Look forward to seeing more.

Think it'd really help to have route details as text alongside video on your website though as this is a taster and difficult to have handy (get to the right point) whilst walking. Also how about letting people contribute their videos from the route to show it in different condition/show variations etc?

Keep up the good work! Just don't encourage too many people out up high, I like it quiet ;)
