Either way, the more effective combat knives, hands down are tanto style. Very effective Slashers, and devastating in the stab, and almost impossible to chip the point, if made properly, with a good quality steel.

@insomniac1122 The more effective combat knives, hands down are tanto style. Very effective Slashers, and devastating in the stab, and almost impossible to chip the point, if made properly. i use the eickhorn solignen bayonet '05 in my oversea deployments, and i find it to completely destroy the ka-bar as far as durability goes. On its initial demonstration it was able to penetrate a punching bag, wrapped in aircraft aluminum wearing a ballistic vest. go modern, its better all around.

Say what you want, i use the eickhorn solignen bayonet 2005 in my oversea deployments, and i find it to completely destroy the ka-bar as far as durability goes. On its initial demonstration it was able to penetrate a punching bag, wrapped in aircraft aluminum wearing a ballistic vest, now if you ask me, THAT more than gets the job done. quit holding the kabar in regards to top of the food chain, when it cant keep up with the more modern competition. and yes, the STYLE is effectivethe STEELisnt

Alright guys give the Ka-Bar wanna be crap a break, This is a cool knife, and I took the video for people who might appreciate it and want to get a look at one. Enjoy the video for what it is. Thanks

Pfsch..."Ka-bar wanna be"...do some research, they arent nearly top of the food chain for combat/utility knives anymore, that was a few decades ago. even the Canadian Can-2000 bayonet send the Ka-bar packing. or even the OKC 3. All stronger steel, that holds a much better edge, laser sharped and the whole sha-bang. To be honest, American steel is very low on the list of what i'd like in my knife. Definitly german steel, very tough, very sharp

@MrDarkLung I have more knives than the devil, and only took video of a handful. I can see how a person may have the first thought of "A Kabar wanna be" but the fact of the matter is, for a combat / survival knife this style gets the job more than done, and throws real nice to boot. and moving on to bashing USA steel, you might want to do your research and check out American made Carbon V steel by Cold steel. Thanks for leaving a comment not surprised it was shitty, most all your comments are.
