sounds like a e-cello or e-violin. very neat!

@NomadRonin Ebows are almost always used with the neck pickup.
-
Are you using the neck or bridge pickup?

ya... love the sound of cellos and violins. I also create that effect without an ebow using the volume knob.

Can ebows damage your pickups in anyway?

@nomadicexplorers, well technically is employs a very mild magnetic field that may have some effect on pickups but I really don't know if it's enough to cause anything on your pups.

(excuse the stupid account name) hey! im thinking about buying one of these but im only wanting to commit if it's possible to play 2 or 3 strings at a time?

@john2k8harvey, i don't think it is... you can move it from one string to another but that would produce an arpeggio kind of sound (which i don't think what you're after)

@NomadRonin, on a Les Paul I'd always use the neck pickup, but on a Strat I'd use all 3 pickups depending on the kind of sound I need to make ...
