  • Rufus Fears is an American Treasure. Its as simple as that.

  • @maxogram Glad to know he is still plugging away.

  • Students at Indiana University, when he taught here, used to drop off a 2 liter of coke on his lectern, along with a bag of doritos. He referred to Coke as the elixir of life, but the doritos would 'go home to his wife', lol. Always referred to us as Doritoized Lounge Lizards.

  • My sister in law is taking a course of his this semester at the University of Oklahoma. She is very fond of his lectures.

  • he forgets that the history of liberbty was england in the early 18th centery when at the time we had an empire of tride, freedom and liberty but a 100 years later that all changed to, if you wat freedom you need to save it from the french so we needed some money to make an army to protect you guys, but thinngs never turned out that way. but still, we are still Great Brothers in arms !!!

  • I miss Rufus, I sure wish he would come back to Indiana. I earned a History degree by accident because of him. Went to graduate and I had a double major, Computer Science and History. The finest speaker I have ever met, he made a difference in my life.

  • Thanks for posting this clip. I have taken 3 of Dr. Fears courses and find him to be the best educator I have ever known. He has inspired me to be a student of life. Thanks for all the great stories Rufus :)

  • Dr. Fears is an excellent teacher.

  • Hey i studied Roman History under this man...my entire class called him the great grandpa story teller we never knew...lol, he is a very wise man and a very interesting man to learn from...

  • I had the good fortune to study under Dr. Fears and I fully agree with aark1954 that his DVD's are well worth looking into. The ideas advanced in his lectures serve as a beacon for the legacy which classical notions of liberty have left to our civilization.
