Oh Winter Storm... 2009 was my first time there and I've been looking forward to Winter Storm 2010 ever since. Its one of the best pipe and drum performances you can see without leaving the US
All drumming is very good to watch and listen to in its own way, but pipe band drumming is head and shoulders above the rest..drummers at the highest level as seen here would own any kit drummers and every other form of drumming on technicality, expression, ability to play in unison and sheer variety of rudiments. It is so good to see the best performing toether..real masters and in a class of their own. Great show of talent and skill!!!
Similar, yes, except the drum salute they are playing (by Alex Duthart) was written long before Top Secret existed. Top Secret borrows a lot from scottish drumming, and American DCI drumming.
