It's the moon and it's apparently super. Ooh ee ooh!

Full moon, perigee, in clear skies over London. Apparently the first full "supermoon" since 19 January 1992 - which isn't a terribly long time ago, but still. There was no Youtube then!

Then again, an article in the Guardian from a few years ago says there was a full moon in perigee on December 12, 2008, so I don't really know what's going on now! (Presumably that was great, just not so super.)

Footage shot with a JVC Everio HD video camera with brightness set at -6 and 1/4000 shutter speed.

  • it looks bigger at sunrise

  • Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird. It's a plane. It's supermoon!

  • It was just like Halley's Comit and anything else that I was told I'd only see once in my life time: I stood outside, I looked at it, I said, "Oh Yeah, How cool?", I went back inside, noticed that I was the same and life hadn't changed, and went to sleep. I always feel slighted, like it should have been more. Oh well.

  • @Eliseharris Uhhh, that number looks to be a battery part number. What's the camera model?? ;-)

  • Don't look at the moon, get em dooon.. : )

  • Its bigger cus its 50,000 km closer to Earth, so if you are thinking of launching your moon mission rocket then its a good time. Think of all the money you will save on petrol
