Panos came up short in the primary but his vote outcome combined with that of Councilwoman Ann Kobayashi, may be just enough to keep incumbent Mayor Mufi Hannemann from winning the seat outright. Here Panos delivers some of his last words of last night before a crowd at his campaign headquarters and viewers across the state on TV.

  • TuNnl, it is people like you who keep on voting for the same tired old politicians that will help Honolulu travel down the tracks to financial ruin. Panos was a fresh face in the political landscape and should have been given a chance to run. But as I know, people who favor rail like to add extra cost of living expenses (higher taxes) to themselves and everyone else. Rail will be a colossal black hole for everyone's pocketbooks! STOP RAIL NOW!

  • everyone that is against mufi in this race will bo sorry in the end. he will win!! trust me he will! but you had a good short and horrible run panos. anne is going to be sorry that she went against mufi. goMUFIgo!!

  • this idiot....... made a fool of himself at the debate. what kind of food did they have at his headquarters?? wasn't it hotdogg and chips??? back to teaching moron!!

  • Panos greatly won. Had he not run the public would be propagandized even worse than they are now and there would be no runoff. We will now see further debate. That is a win for the long term. Thank you for your honesty and courage, Panos!

  • More people would have voted for Panos if he had at least some level of political experience. But the guy has never even served on the neighborhood board.

What makes him think he is qualified to lead a major metropolitan city? If I teach journalism at UH, does that mean the television news stations will select me to replace Kim Gennaula?

Panos is just a tool that allowed himself to be manipulated by the mainland Libertarian-backed Stop Rail Now group. He should have endorsed Ann Kobayashi.

  • Beautiful. I'm grateful that Dr. Prevedouros ran. :-)
