@drumwolfmail They made history, not money
-
@drumwolfmail yeah the drummer does look the same, did you ever watch the movie about joy division called CONTROL that had rob in there the actor who played ian curtis looked just like him
-
@Mick342 you might have yourself some troubles there
-
@Mick342 Buy the movie. Trust me, you'll end up watching it at least twice a year for the rest of the your life.
-
I don't care whether they look like their real life counter parts or not, it's about whether they can act or not
-
Paddy Considine, the man!
-
Brilliant scene, Paddy is a great actor and yes, I am allowed to be on first name terms with him ... I have been in town drinking tequila with the guy after his gig!
-
did indeed, because as coogan said as tony wilson blue monday by new order was a huge selling record but money had to be payed to the hacienda.
-
rob gretton actually did once actually headbutt tony wilson and knee'd him in the bollocks as he went down because of a decision tony made about one of the bands think joy division i believe.
-
he's great isn't he :) Paddy Considine just owns in anything though proper great actor. make you laugh, cry, love him, hate him bring out all that, an actors actor.
isn't that supposed to be Rob Gretton, the New Order manager, not Hook?

Both of them are in this scene, but Gretton is the one who attacks Tony WIlson while snarling "thirty grand for a fucking table!"
Hook is the one asking Tony Wilson how much the table cost. He's the one with the ponytail and brown jacket who's the only one seated at 0:17.

The actors who play Ian Curtis and Tony Wilson look nothing like their real-life counterparts either.
The funniest part is that I think the actor playing Hooky actually looks a lot like the real Joy Division drummer.

Yes, the label was indeed in trouble. They were losing money.
My understanding is that even in the best of times Factory Records was always on pretty shaky ground financially.
