People only use heat extend at the end of your last combo if the knuckle doesn't kill them. Even doing it in the corner forces you backward a bit.

Man, Eddie was and still is OP as hell as long as he's going to be in this game. They *really* need to tone down his ability to just endlessly pressure you in the corner with like a .15 second window of escape.

Match was too close to say that the only reason why the Eddie player won this was because he's playing Eddie. It was a factor, but note how FAB made several mistakes there too.

people only use heat extend in the corner where the opponent cant escape. and where you can do more damage

Strategy. Instead of doing the extend and letting them get away, many would rather have them fall to the ground so that more mixups can be brought upon the opponent, which can result in another combo.
