I grew to manhood in Wyoming where lethal blizzards would come from nowhere and give you just minutes to reach safety or you would die. I remember this song from my youth. Yes, it's sad, but very, very real.

@padraigog2010 The key I just did it in is C, F, C, G, and the chorus is A minor and G. I play by ear, cant read music and just bagged it the first time.

@padraigog2010 The key I just did it in is C,F,C,G, and there is an A minor for the chorus, then back to G. Basic blues progression, very simple. I play by ear, cannot read music, had this song bagged the first time I tried it. Glad you asked, it just got added to my song list.

I have loved someone that much once. I screwed it up...wish I could tell her. We got a good kid out of it in spite of me. Damn, damn, damn...wish I could tell her...like the guy in the blizzard...I can get close, but not enough.
