@501DeltaSquad make sure you are keeping your pinky finger on that bottom string 3rd fret, this will give it that extra little high pitch as you switch between your chords. Other than that, it's standard tuning. Good luck brother!
The pattern for the verse seems to be a variation of something like DdDDU, DdDDU, DdDDUUUDUDU, then repeats. Chord changes happen at the commas. Practice that, then watch him play the chorus and it should be pretty easy to figure out.
@Jean1juan It's probably when he does a "hammer-on" that it makes that sound. while the string is ringing out one note you "hammer-on" or place the other finger on that string to give it a different sound

The ringing sound comes from hitting only the bottom few strings on the upstroke.
