Propane Tank Explosion - Takes Off Like a Rocket!

We were shooting a propane tank like we've done many times before, but this one spiraled up into the air. It was pretty cool! By the way, this is a full size propane tank that works with a grill. It's not one of those small bottles that works with camp stoves or lanterns.

Yeah, we had never seen that before either. We never did find the tank, who knows how far it flew.

Watch it fly out the top right corner of the video at about 7 seconds, it is spinning. Once it is out of the firelight you couldn't see it anyway, it was dark so nothing would show up on video.

@13cgreen A 20 lb propane tank will go a lot further than 100 feet. You've just been lucky.

@therumble32 we have done this many times, it usually exploads instead of rocketing into the sky, also we backed up about 100 ft and... wait, im really responding to a 10 year old who has heard of a full siSe propane tank cause serious injEry and fatAlity.... thanks for letting us know

GoofyDaGoofGooftv that would not have been funny because a full sise propane tank can kill and if it has enough thrust to fly into the air it's more then likely going to have enough speed to cause serious ingeries or fatlity just thought I'd let you know
