  • @whitebazzaro If the oil from the oiled gauze filter, whether from the factory or re-oiled, gets onto sensors in the intake, it can ruin the sensor and throw off the input to the PCM.

  • K&N arent as good as they say. I'm going to school to be a mechanic and alot of the teachers say that they have worked on cars where the K&N filters that the customers bought throw a trouble code. also they have seen what the oil that you put on the filter after cleaning does to the engine and it isn't good. I trust a master ASE certified mechanic over some guy i don't know selling me products.

  • Hey. I have been using K & N filters for years. I have a clip here showing a pretty good comparision test between foam and gauze filters. This test is pretty conclusive. Let me know what you think. Here is the You tube link:
