I'll be back with more hints to self-healing.

This information comes from Dr. MARCIA LINEHAN from Seattle, Washington, USA.

She is a psychologist - the guru of DBT. I used the format her book entitled "Skills Tr5aining Manual Treating Borderline Personality Disorder
although it entitled Borderline, I still think it all relates to Bipolar as well. It's Coping Skills. And we need to find a way to cope.

enjoy!

  • Trisha, you have to learn to live with "it" and to control "it", and not let "it" control you. For these skills DBT can be very useful. But DBT isn't a self helping therapy, you'll need for it a so called third person. Somone who is controlling you a the beginning, someone who is checking your self manipulating sides and also someone who trains you in these so called "skills". So beside patience and discipline from the client's side, it's needing also an experienced therapist. Then DBT can help.

  • @Metaphos I had 5 yrs of therapy with a psychologist. using dbt. I understand what you say.

  • I have BPD, and I've been working with DBT for 2 years now, and I've been improve my feelings and my negative emotions, this video is excelent, I feel that you're very well informed about the DBT, thanks for sharing.

  • This is helpful. I just started DBT this week. I am already seeing the benefits :-)

  • I was recently diagnosed with BPD and was recommended to get involved with DBT but sadly I have no spare time to be involved with DBT. So I'm trying to learn more about it. Hopefully this will help me. Thanks for the info.

  • I loved your list of 101 things to do. I actually came across it a few days before watching your video. You sound like a lovely lady that really has been through alot, you seem very realistic about things. Thankyou very much for this video. Peace be with you :)
