@marine9588: that picture you're talking about where the crab is as big as the trashcan...it's not a fake!!! It was taken years ago, the crab was caught up at the air force base on Guam! Some coconut crabs can get so big...if you were to spread out it's legs...its as big as the hood of a car!

Theres a picture of a coconut crab on google that shows one bigger than a fucking trash can. Now i know that picture is a fake. Still a big ass crab though I'll say.

It's hilarious how much info in this video is wrong. It's still cool though.
Adult coconut crabs breath air, and drown in water and even though "coconut" is in their colloquial name they play little part in their diet.
