Hermione and Severus had been having a secret relationship. However, now everyone has found out, there relationship is put under serious pressure. Hermione doesn't want to lose Severus and want him to 'see who she is' and realise how special their relationship is.
Hermione is also trying to explain to Ron and Harry that she loves Severus and that their relationship is going to last. Whilst Dumbledore and the other teachers are doing their hardest to talk Severus out of the relationship.
At one point (at the instrumentaly part at about 3:00) their relationship becomes too strained and Severus tries to end it. But Hermione reminds him that they're "in this together" and they work it out.

Wish I could have seen the original. I would love to watch the video, but the voice of the singer on this sound clip grates on my nerves so bad... so I've only seen the first minute. Oh well. :(
