@mbphofan no not the lenghth of the whole video..it startet at 0.2 second and reached 60 at 0.8 seconds..thats 6 seconds, not 13!

@Heske1991 but you're right: the 6.9 has only 3 gears.

@Heske1991 that's wrong. the difference between both was the power transmission: the 6.3 had a hydraulic clutch and the 6.9 was one of the first MB with lock-up torque converter. to me it's unknown that Borg Warner ever engineered a transmission for MB. maybe some parts were taken from Borg Warner but till 1990 nearly all MB transmissions were engineered by MB! btw: the 6.9 weighs about 200 kg more, that could also explain the worse performance.

the 300SEL 6.3 is faster than the 450SEL 6.9. it used a 4 speed ZF autmatic transmission, the 6.9 used a three speed automatic Borg Warner transmission, that really slowed it down
