  • I'm 21 years old, and until last Sunday, I have only attended the new Mass. I heard about the traditional Mass only through school.

Last Sunday, I finally found the only church in my entire district which performs the traditional Latin Mass. Praise be to God that I found that church, because, especially after learning the Latin language, I prefer the traditional Mass in every way.

  • About what the former Priest said at 3:06, what he said is indeed wrong. You get more people at a Tridentine Mass, than a Novus Ordo Mass in Europe.

What his grace , Card, O'Mally said is true, but the Pope mentioned this is for "all People". Not Just in Europe.

  • The Latin Mass has resumed at Holy Trinity in Boston starting on February 10, 2008.

  • Magna, the words of the consecration need not be heard, the silent Roman Canon is such a blessing to have. We as laymen do not contribute anything to the sacrificial act, the priest alone consecrates the body, blood, soul, and divinity of our Lord, we offer our own sacrifices in our own way united with the priest. But the primarily, the Mass is between the priest and our Heavenly Father.

  • Urg...Cardinal O'<alley, a pure modernist.

  • I am dumbfounded as to how "out of the loop" those in the middle management roles of the church seem to be on this issue. And a Cardinal not knowing the new Mass in Latin doesn't require "special permission" is just embarrassing.

  • Finnaly as of last friday, the motu propreo took effect, and I watched ewtn show the traditional mass at the shrine founded by mother angelica, the shrine of the blessed sacrament, The mass shown from there was excellent, the priest even said the words loudly enought to be heard and clearly enough to understand, many priests dont do this and their pronuciation is off a bit.

my only quam about the latin mass is that you cant hear the consicration

  • Thank God you found It. I discovered It on the Feast of the Assumption 2000, and I've never left. Our generation has been truly robbed all these years.

  • Well, Holy Trinity will be closing. A date has not been anounced, the Latin Mass was moved from Holy Trinity to Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Parish in Newton about 3 months ago. It really is ashame that beautiful church will be closing.

  • This is good to see. My Father served at Holy Trinity in Boston, and I was worried it would be closed.
