As an Apple iOS Developer you may have recently upgraded in iOS 4.2. Then you opened an existing project of yours and cripes! You can't do a build on your project! You get the message "Base SDK Missing" on the tool bar. When you click there dropdown where you would expect there to be an option for a valid SDK, there is none. What to do? This video explains how to fix your project so it points to the proper SDK and get you back on track.
To read article discussing this in detail, go to: http://chomer.com/2010/12/01/how-to-fix-base-sdk-missing-problem-in-xcode/
you don´t have to close the project. you can change once the selection in the overview pulldown to "device" and back to "simulator" again.
the new SDK will be shown. if not, then probably there is a user defined target SDK version set.
