it probably is Rooney. But if it isn't then it's probably the model itself, you should a gibson les paul if it isn't Gibson then it shouldn't sound like a gibson (idk wat a gibson sounds like so don't ask me.)

Thanks, I've solved the problem now, I don't know what was originally wrong, maybe it was my technique :)

Hey depending on your guitar but if you have a strat or guitar similar to one , try using the neck pick-up and turn back the tone control from 10 to 3 on the neck pick-up and it will give you some sustain on your guitar especially with distortion on..Then just find the balance and you can get some nice chord sustain and soloing sounds very cool playing in this position.Notes will keep ringing out when your bending and stuff..Hope this helps ya : )
