From the LP "101 Strings Present Their Golden Oldies," issued on the Alshire label, serial number S-5285, 1973. "Moon River" was composed by Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer (lyrics) in 1961, for whom it won that year's Academy Award for Best Original Song. Audrey Hepburn originally sang the work in the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's." The song also won the 1962 Grammy Award for Record of the Year.

@davidhertzberg I've checked that other video out and it was done well!! Actually, I'll take back PART of what I said about no one can do this record like Mancini and his orchestra/chorus. Andy Williams covered this song, but he did it justice!

There's nothing like the original! Sorry, but this is a cut-rate imitation as are most of the covers by these low budget orchestras! NO ONE does this song like Mancini and his chorus and orchestra! Unless you can really do a song justice, AND I MEAN REALLY, leave a good thing alone! It's too bad it took so long to get this sort of garbage off the air!
