Flapper climbing on my lap and Quacker eating

Okay, the bad news. I haven't wanted to announce this, but Amos and Andie were killed by a coyote. I almost sent Quacker to someone else, but decided to give it one more try. I strengthened the fence into the yard and built a very large pen where I can keep the ducks when no one is home. It's very large so they don't mind. Also, my wife and I work different hours so someone is often home. I got a new duck (a Pekin) about a year ago and named her "Flapper." She and Quacker are very happy together.

See ;( sad story. I had a similar situation! I got 1 male mallard duck last year in august. Then we got 2 more, which we thought were both girls. On Oct.6th our first duck died from sickness. About a week later out tan female died. From a raccoon! It almost killed our other duck, now named Lucky, which is actually a boy! So I bring him inside our house every single day. He started to hop on my lap, and even my back 2 day! He rode me like a horse! What a cool duck xD

I'm sorry about your loss with Amos. It does suck to lose a pet. After we had to put my Dachshund down a couple months ago, I was an emotional wreck. How old was Flapper when you got her? Which ones would be better as pets, females or males? Which ones are usually the most talkative? I *love* birds that have cute noises, which is why I adopted 2 Ringneck Doves from the Humane Society. I *love* they're cooing && laughing sounds, && I love how the male Doves dance.
