one of my favourite soundtracks ever! s this the Gerhardt recording?

Wow - great filmusic ! And that theme is the most gorgeous thing I've ever heard. If anyone listening to this music does not know of Bride of Frankenstein, do not live the rest of your life without hearing it.

@Richard40171 Well, I know the climate was WAY sunnier during the earlier years... but I was addressing 1950's Russia.

@newfreshreview Don't want to sound condescending but the Soviets were not the NKoreans! Russians have galloped along with WCulture for the last 200 hundred years & were key players in all fields and they wanted to keep up in film. Eisenstein hobnobbed with Chaplin in Hollywood, etc. (see Wiki); the Dreiser film fell through 1930. DS did a jazz version of "Tea for Two" and other "jazz" pieces inc. episodes in ballets. Eisenstein studied Disney and Wiki refers to "the sound-film issue."
Amazing
