  • Elite athlete fat percentage is more like 5% for men and 8% for women, apart from swimmers where a bit of excess fat (though not a belly which would cause drag) doesn't matter as much

  • I don't think skinny-fat is that unhealthy, after all, it's the default physique of newborn babies and most young children. What counts is the cholestrol build up in the arteries. My step granddad I would describe as skinny fat and does have problems with arteries though.

  • This is more about exercise than nutrition, not that nutrition is not important, but if people had higher muscle mass they would better off
