Arrested former peacekeepers 'were drunk'

According to the Georgian Defence Ministry, three Russian peacekeepers have been detained by Georgian military police in the city of Poti in the west of the country. The ministry says the peacekeepers breached the security zone in the Georgian and Abkhazian conflict area.

thank you for referring to me as brother. I think of all Caucasians living in Transcaucasia or forecaucasia as my close cousins. this why I am crushed with sadness each time is read devastating account of abuses in Chechnya & Ingushetia. Georgia is very important asset of the Caucasus, Georgians have immense responsibility for all Caucasian ethnic groups. Ose-tia, Ingush-etia are internationally known with Georgian names for them,. "Eti" is georgian ending for land like rus-eti, espan-eti.

Neolithic culture in Transcaucasia is dated 5000BC; bronze & iron 3500BC . wineries claim wine production since 5000BC. Kolhis & iberians 1800-1500 BC. Eventually Kartvelian tribes transformed into modern day linguist groups-as known today. The united Georgia of kartvelian tribes was formed to defend united from increasing threat from enemies. It is sad but for self definition & national identity people need common enemy. So Yes, Georgians have fought for thousands of years for freedom.

few years ago in several excavations they found remains of Dmanisi hominids / ergaster in Dmanisi Georgia , remains are dated 1.8 million year old. These are oldest remains of ergaster in Europe & Asia so Huminids had arrived to Eurasia through the Caucasus / Georgia. They called them Homo Georgicus - is not it cute? but these are hominids not humans. humans emerged mach later.

Georgians fought against Russians ever since they had betrayed the alliance. Georgians had poured the blood into our soil for centuries before Russians came to the Caucasus, after a long straggle we know true victory is when you gained it with your mind, but not by the sacrifice of our young men & women. Sorry but ignoring the facts does not make it right, it simply leaves impression of ignorance.

The first - Asians are wonderful people with rich history & great achievements.

Second-there is 2 sides of the Caucasus North & south.

Georgians are south Caucasians & have a very long History, architecture, myths, several religions & 3 alphabets, lots of archeological remains to show that they were "born with the land". The Transcaucasia in our blood, we adore our Caucasus.
