you guys don't seem to get it, I am not saying that the Bible or a pastor is proof, I'm not saying that anything is proof, im saying that there are counter theories to evolution. And people who think you can't compare them, you fricking can! They're both theories how man came into being! You have no right to say I am stupid if you can't apreaciate that you cannot prove either of them and both have equally believable theories. Just have a look at this

@broadvisionstudios And, sir, YOU don't seem to get it. Evolution is the result of the evidence available. Period. Your opinion isn't evidence. Some preacher who took The Bible (which was meant to be symbolic) and counted backwards to come up with a LITERAL translation that the earth is 6000 years old... is not evidence that the earth is 6000 years old. It's evidence that human beings are gullible.

why can you not just accept religion, it is a belief as is the belief in evolution in science. There is no proof of evolution because you cannot go back and TEST it, there is evidence to suggest that evolution does happen but not proof. There is also evidence to suggest that Christianity is accurate in creationism and the flood ect. That is why it is a belief as you cannot prove it, just as you cannot prove evolution, it is just a theory and theories can be broken.

Most people completely butcher the "evolution debate". Let me simplify.

Fact-Biological evolution.

Theory-Darwinian evolution. (survival of the fittest)

Just like:

Fact-The sun burns.

Theory-Nuclear fusion.

The fact that organisms evolve from others, in a sprawling "tree of life" spectrum, is just that, a fact. Just like the sun burns. HOW the fact happens is the theory and is debatable.

There is NO alternative to biological evolution, only possibly to Darwin's theory.

@mamaschafer Hijack away! You're right, evolution does not disprove creationism. One is a collection of evidence, and one is a story with no evidence. The two aren't in the same category. It's like wondering if Mighty Mouse could beat up Vin Diesel.

Maybe evolution is PROOF there is a God..anyway, @Adam4tvs you have many good points in your rant and I agree that creationism doesn't disprove evolution. Just as evolution most definitely does not disprove creationism. ((ok, I am done sorry for hijacking the thread))

He is all powerful and can do anything why wouldn't he improve His own creation? Don't you improve your work and do things better over time? I am not saying God couldn't have made us better before but that he is making us better now. Why ignore that? Certainly it's obvious.

sigh.. I wish we had more proof but we don't so I have faith..also, there's proof of evolution. Just in the last hundred years..look at our children. They are bigger smarter and faster than we were. Is that not evolution? Just because humans are getting better @broadvisionstudios doesn't mean there is no God...so stop worrying about people saying that there's evolution.

@Adam4tvs Honestly, I don't know why you even argue with @broadvisionstudios Seems like neither of you are in the state of mind to accept what the other says.. . .Unfortunately, the flood being proved doesn't prove creationism. It only proves that there was a really big flood. I wish it did. Being a Christian ... We are told to have faith..having faith means believing without proof..yes,it is easier to believe with proof ..

@broadvisionstudios Ugh.... a hypothesis(idea) is the first step, becoming a theory is the last. Theories and facts are not the same.

Creationism is an IDEA, one that has no evidence to support it, only claims that our limits in theories are proof of a god, which is absurd.

And no, e=mc2 was not disproved, nukes work dude... geeze. What might be in question is the speed of light.

And the start of organic matter has nothing to do with evolution, but i support the Panspermia theory.

@666norton420 You called it a theory in your last comment. Anyway, I admit that I don't have a lot of information but I was trying to make a point, evolution COULD be wrong and you shouldn't just dismiss other ideas without exploring them fully first. Also you shouldn't accept something as fact just because it has the most information, E=mc2 was disproved and that had a lot of evidence. How do you explain how life came into being? I though spontaneous generation was disproved over 100yrs ago?

@broadvisionstudios You don't seem to understand what a theory is in scientific terms. What most people call a theory, in scientific terms if you remember from 10th grade science class, is a hypothesis, an idea. Then you test, gather evidence, weight the findings, do more testing, etc; and once it has reach passed certain peer review standards, it becomes a theory.

"Our" theories have (mountains of) evidence, your "theories"(ideas) do not.

And linking to a Hovind vid shows your lack of info. :)
