This is a video tour that the builder Elizabeth Ruzzier of FoxWood Builders did with me back on July 13.

The home is located in Majestic Oaks, a new home neighborhood in Wake Forest, NC off of Rogers Road. What makes this home so unique is that it qualifies not only as an Energy Star home but it also is one of only a handful of homes in the entire Triangle area that has qualified as an EPA Indoor AirPLUS home. Elizabeth explains in the video what all this means and why it's important to a home buyer. Her company has built several such homes and she is one of only two as of this date in the Triangle that have gone to this extent to provide home buyers with not just a beautiful home but a safe home when it comes to indoor air quality.

The home itself has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, 2,950 square feet of finished space and another 780 square feet of unfinished space. It has a two car garage with an air vent to vent gases out of the garage. It comes with a tankless water heater and a conditioned crawl space that means better air quality inside the house.

Hardwood floors are throughout most of the first floor. It has a gas fireplace with beautiful wood mantle and surround. The kitchen is huge with a large island, gas stove and cooktop, beautiful cabinetry and a large walk-in pantry.

The master bedroom is on the first floor and comes with separate garden tub with tile surround and shower with tile surround, as well as twin sinks and water closet.

The large walk-in closet has tons of custom shelving.

Off the front foyer is a flex room that could be used as a formal dining room or as an office. It has French doors that provide privacy when needed.

This house has a first floor laundry as well as half bath and a mud room with nooks for shoes, keys and coats.

Upstairs are three more bedrooms and two full baths. Each bedroom has good size closets and ceiling fans with lights that are Energy Star certified.

Also on the second is a large bonus room with window seat and ceiling fan with light.

Off the second floor hallway is a large two level unfinished space that is well insulated.

If you want a home with granite countertops in the kitchen and master bath, with custom cabinetry, with a screen porch and nice size yard with irrigation system and you want it convenient to tons of stuff in and around Wake Forest then this is definitely a home you want to take a closer look at. Add in the Energy Star and EPA Indoor AirPLUS certifications and you have a home that will save you money when it comes to energy costs and give you a better, safer environment in which you and your family can live.
