  • Big Ben just floats over jumps. He make them look small and effortless. RIP

  • makes you think who would be the more popular horse now-a-days, if big ben was still in competing for against hisckstead

  • @Adrenaline552 I DO believe that could be a competition!!! I do Believe that Big Ben and Hickstead would be so perfectly equal.

  • and people think horses can't fly!

  • is it just me, or is every video of Big Ben and Ian Miller commentated in every language but English?

I don't mind anyways. I only care to watch that horse <3

  • @Adrenaline552 Well, if that were a possibilty, I think both horses would each have all the love of every Canadian citizen who's ever enjoyed watching jumping! We think of Big Ben, we think of Hickstead, but our Canadian team has had a LOT of very wonderful horses. And wonderful riders. Horse and rider are a singular unit as they work together.

  • @MaryCB101, I can't help but disagree. Judgement was prettier. That looked like a hunter round, as much as Ben could hunt, with that neck set. What a horse. Love them both, in different ways. How can one be "better"? I remember Judgement when Beezie had water problems with him. Ben? Nope. I DID see him stop, once, at Sunnybrook. A tall airy vertical on a turn, with an 18" rail right in front, the world's silliest , skinniest width, rampiest-looking "oxer".

  • MaryCB101 judgment is great but big Ben is like a legend...

  • The two people who actually took the time to "dislike" this clearly have no taste or eye for talent...

    Or aren't horse-people. Either way, they're dumb.

  • Haha, major blonde moment. I looked up at the hedge at the very beginning and went "They're jumping that!?!?!"

    Heh.

Anyway, I love how he pauses at the top of the really big jumps like "Daddy, do we hafta come down?"

  • i hope no one forgets about BOOMERANG eddie mackens horse . he won the hickstead derby 4 times in a row. best horse ever!

  • I can't help but feel that Beezie Madden's "Judgement" is a better horse.
