  • Where are the rudder pedals??? Without pedals it's not a correct or an accurate simulation.

What's with the joystick? With the exception of a Cessna Bird Dog, all Cessna models available for simulation use a yoke, not a stick.

A yoke and pedals do more for authenticity of simulation than any device that bounces you around a bit. Of course, if you don't intend to ever fly a real plane and the simulator is not being used as an instructional aid then maybe getting bounced around is fun.

  • You are right. But the simulator was in earlier stages at the point this video was shot and I wanted to test its limits on motion performance. And, why not, have some fun with it.

I used it for real simulation later... :-)

  • hey man how you do the machine?... please tell me i want build one of them

  • Check your PM... :-)

  • couldnt you rather share the whole deal with us rather that just him ? :P

  • Google: "Thanos Home motion flight simulator by tronicgr"

  • @IIproductionsII haha sweet, I remember leaving that comment ^, crazy it was two years ago, anyways that's sweet, hope to see it soon!

  • @Legendary588 I'm making a F/A-18 at the momment. It's a fully accurate, and even contains a seat from an actual F-18. I'm using 4 projectors for the canopy, so instead of just looking at a moniter, you have a display all around you to make it look like you're actually looking out of the canopy of a F-18. All the controls in the cockpit work with FSX. I'm going to be either using something similar to what this is, or using a dreamflyer for the motion.

  • I have some questions for you, I'm in the process of building a full metal motion simulator, which will be less fidgety and jerky then your setup. I want to know what software you use to convert the movements in FSX to motion?

  • Learn to take off and learn to landing before ,BAD AMATOR !

  • gotta watch your fingers

  • lol... This can be made with spare parts and like...maybe 100 dollars of Canadian Tire tubes and bolts?

Waste of time? What are you going to do otherwise? Watch TV and play video games?

  • Yes, go watch TV or something.

  • waste of time and money

  • I can't wait to build one of these. I'm taking the same principal, but hopefully find ways to improve it. This is by far the best sim I've seen, built professionally, or at home.

  • if you read carefully i said "looks as though" i didn't say it did, I know how it works I just think there's too much movement and that's why I said it looks as thought it goes by the position of the joystick. look its just a comment and I didn't mean anything by it just giving my opinion.
