First start in several years, it's a new engine to me and had been sitting a long time before I got it.
It is an 8V53T even though it appears to be only an 8V53.... I removed the turbo for now but it'll go back on soon. You can look forward to a another video as a true 8V53T!

@LarryNewlin Actually it's an 8V53T and came that way form Detroit new. This is just a test run without the turbo installed.

YOU SHOULD HAVE NOT STARTED IT WITHOUT CHECKING FOR STUCK INJECTORS..

I actually unstuck a few before starting it.... Even so had an aluminum plate sitting on the engine ready to block off the blower inlet if necessary.

@lumberjak5010 The leaks are designed in at the factory, that's how you know they still have oil in the sump. GM 2 Strokes the most efficient engine ever built for converting fuel to noise!!!! Love em.

@buzzindozen SORRY, I RETRACT MY LAST STATMENT. CAUSE THATS HOW I START EM ALSO, THIS DRY FUEL WILL SEIZE THEM UNIT INJECTORS IN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AND WITHOUT BREAKAWAY RACKS ITS GOOD TO BE PREPARED. IVE ALMOST SHIT MYSELF MANY TIMES IN RECENT YEARS WITH RUNAWAYS - NOW IM ALWAYS PREPARED.
