the design is okay but not practical the air force had a prototype like this to test the swept forward wing but found the metal fatigue was too much to make practical so dumped it to nasa which still uses it for forward swept wing research. My guess is this plane will gather dust in some russian boneyard a few years down the road with no real production numbers

haha thats what i always say, russia copys ALL american planes and they all get pissed off and say they they didnt. look at an f 15, then look at all the Sukhoi fighters. look at the B52 and a tupelov bear, same body, different engines (because russia is poor. and the most obvious is the B1B lancer and the TU blackjack
