The Helmholtz Alberta Initiative is a major partnership between the University of Alberta and a network of German research centres to search for more sustainable oilsands technologies.
Twelve videos featuring team co-leaders in the six currently active research themes in the Helmholtz Alberta Initiative—bitumen and lignite upgrading, carbon capture, carbon storage, geothermal energy, sustainable oilsands water management, and mine site reclamation and landscape development— appear roughly one every month on the initiative's website at www.helmholtzalberta.ca
Our first profile is of land-reclamation professor Anne Naeth of the University of Alberta.
