that EOTech is one of the best ive seen for a game, but it still isnt actually "realistic". in the game it is viewed by a cyclops with only one eye. all reflex sights are used with two eyes. both eyes are open. so if you want a realistic reflex sight, not only does the holographic reticle have to point exactly where the bullet will hit, but also the housing of the EOTech itself should be TRANSPARENT, because of the use of Bindon Aiming Concept (keeping both eyes open).

Very nice.
Some people might not understand that with an aimpoint the bullet hits the dot no matter what angle you through the sights. Hence why the use of parallax is important to reflect realism.

I wonder if any game will ever simulate aiming probably. Using a red dod sight in real life is very fast, but in games it doesnt really work so well, or hardly does any difference.

Great but the Eotechs don't have that much of a red tint. The screen only becomes tinted with red when you max out the brightness, which in dark areas like that would make no sense. The "best" deemed way to set the brightness is that the reticle is still transparent to the point where you can see through the reticle contrasting the object its covering. Basically, the reticle shouldn't be solid red, but rather slightly transparent.

yeah right what u say.. nice vid 5/5

From where did you get this "6th weapon pack"????
Please for answer

Why do you even mention parallax? Arent all red dots parallax free? At least I am sure non tubed sights are definitely paralax free. At tubed ones I am not sure now.

both are not the best
So in ArmA I the Red Dots are realistic, why arent they in ArmA II In ArmA II the Dots are like phosphorescent Dots glued to the Lense, so they stay there, and arent moving, making them look crappy

@andromedarr This parallax free effect was attained using alpha-channel exploits. There are problems with these exploits on some graphics cards so that people could see the reticle outside of the sight window as a side-effect. As a result, the 'feature' was never used as it could be a cheat for some people and would look silly anyhow. It's still possible but I'm not sure which graphics cards it works for these days.
