Published on Mar 6, 2012

On March 7, 2012, the Sierra Club and the Natural Resources Defense Council launched a seven figure TV ad buy in Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., aimed at raising public awareness of and support for new safeguards against dangerous industrial carbon pollution from power plants. The Environmental Protection Agency is planning, for the first time ever, to propose strict safeguards against industrial carbon pollution from new power plants. Carbon pollution poses serious threats to Americans' health, our economy and the future of our children, and updating air quality protections will allow the EPA to focus on the industries that create the lion's share of the nation's carbon pollution and will also help reduce life-threatening air pollutants like dirty soot, asthma-inducing smog and toxic mercury.

Just FYI on the "prescription inhalers" comment: BUSH was the first to ban the CFC propellants in prescription asthma inhalers.. one of the few places they were still legal. Interestingly, changing the propellant let the drug companies have a protected brand name drug for 7 more years, taking generics off the market. Interesting, huh? I'm sure it was because Bush cared about the environment though. *eyeroll*

What a ridiculous video. This kind of stuff just pushes me further away from their stance. quote: "Even [children's] deaths" - Air and water is cleaner now than at any time. These kids will also need electricity to "have a life," too. STOP THE EPA's EXTREMISM!

I hope those are prescription inhalers! The Presidents watchdog EPA has already banned OTC inhalers for destroying the ozone... Should have thought of that before making this ad?

And we finally see Obama's first "anti-Ron Paul" ad.

They have tried to convince us that members of congress who are against the president waging undeclared wars are naive and unpatriotic. Now they tell us that putting limits on the EPA = the murder children. Next thing you know, they'll be saying that members of congress who want to get rid of the Federal Reserve are terrorists.
