Jersey has some of the largest tidal ranges in the world. Up to 12m. On the lowest tides it is possible to explore the intertidal zone and walk in a wilderness that is covered by the ocean twice a day.
The area is rich in marine life and history.
As the tides rush in the water can rise by up to 3 inches per minute.
Seymour tower was built as a coastal defence against attacks from the French in 1782. It is now possible to stay overnight in the tower. Visit our Website.http://www.jerseywalkadventures.co.uk/
