  • Beautiful interview

  • Bob Mover is one of the truly unsung jazz greats of the last 40 years. We did some of our growing up together, both musically and otherwise. Original doesn't even begin to describe him. Near-genius is better.

  • Thanks Bret. Bob is a great story teller. I'm looking forward to interviewing him next week for our Chet Baker feature! Best, Gary ...P.S: Thanks for the call and the info!

  • I remember him coming around in our house in Italy; nobody quite knew who he was. So he asked my uncle if he was gonna let him play with his saxophone, cause he hadn't one with him. My uncle refused, saxophone being very personal and such; then a friend of ours comes to us and says "man, you know who that was" "no way i don't" "he's bob mover ASSHOLE!!!" they made good friends later though, with a bottle of scotch...

  • Very heartwarming for me. Great video, good job man!

It kinda takes away the good feeling of practicing half a day out of you since you should be doing what that man did, do the practice and at least two sets that day and then a late night gig above the few hours at the shed, if only that was possible nowadays...

  • Wow, Bob Mover! He doesn't have anything to prove. That man can play!

I had the priviledge of jamming with him on a few occasions at the Rex in Toronto in the early 1990's. He played like Bird! He whipped the band into shape within 2 bars on any tune! I remember playing some tune at breakneck speed (on drums) and he turned around to me and snapped his fingers to indicate that I was too slow...

    Great experience!

  • Great video!Personally,I would keep the backround music a little quieter at times but great job.

  • Opt for beauty. wow, what a lesson for life! thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • JazzVideoGuy, ROCK ON!
