President Obama made a speech during the campaign about needing a "civilian security force that was just as well trained and well-funded. Who would have thought he was proposing to pay for it by making part of a HEALTHCARE BILL? This administration is hijacking Liberty and the Constitution with the laws they are jamming down our throats, so check out www.theplainfacts.com to see the details.

  • You braindead Liberal,

If there were such resources in place why in Hell is there a need to include this additional hiring in this abomination and why would they specifically describe them as "similar to the uniformed service’s reserve program" in Section 5210 of the law. You apologists start and end your argument to opposition by saying, 'YOU ARE JUST RACIST HATERS!!!, demonstrating the intellectual depth of a pie plate.

  • I am not an Obama hater, and I am not a Bush hater. I am an American. All of you sheep who defend this bill just because you voted for Obama, or because you're a Democrat, or because you just hate Bush need to wake up. Who cares if this is about regular military, a special military, or a nazi-like military! Who cares! The bill is about healthcare. There should not be $1B+ for anything like this in this bill. That's the point.

  • the author is over-reacting. While I agree that it does not belong in this bill, the creation of these "groups" is not necessarily bad. No where does it say they would be trained as soldiers with weapons, thus it would be a pretty poor army. I imagine they will be trained in things like first response and disaster management. Trained in first aid, organization etc. How useful would they have been in Louisiana? Haiti? The Gulf of Mexico? An "army" of trained paramedics seems prudent, no?

  • "National Emergency?" "Defense Force???" I thought that's what the active military, reserves and National Guard and existing civil police forces were for. Obama will create a "national emergency" in 2012, or piggyback on a minor one, then have his forces help him institute martial law and suspend elections. This preempts military and civil forces from directly disobeying his decree (too many 'innocent' lives lost with such a massive civil war). Obama is a Marxist and brings it here in 2012!!

  • @mcv47 I'm not going to try to explain the difference between fact and opinion. Factcheck has given unbiased information regarding both sides of the aisle. I am apparently outnumbered on this video, and I will not engage in any arguing. The only thing I will say is that if you would like to check the facts, you can, if you choose not to, that is your choice as well. I would just like to see everybody informed with facts instead of opinion when voting.

  • @studyaid You trust factcheck? Any org that can trace back to ANY relationship with George Soros is suspect in my book.

  • This is from factcheck(dot)org:

Q: Did the new health care law give Obama a Nazi-like "private army" of 6,000 people?

A: No. Contrary to false Internet rumors, the new Ready Reserve Corps of doctors and other health workers will report to the surgeon general and be like the "ready reserves" in other uniformed services. They will be used during health emergencies.

  • Look up "ready reserve corps" on factcheck (dot) org

  • @AllanRasco That is the EXACT reading of every military commissioning - "w/o regard to civil-services law." Civil Service laws address tenure and other HR issues that don't apply to either the military or to the US Public Heath Service. This video editor REALLY suckered you all. Why don't you think FOX has exposed this by now? CAUSE THERE'S NOTHING TO IT. (or has FOX been bought off now?)

  • @AllanRasco At 2:09 it reads: "commissioned officers of the Regular Corps shall be appointed by the President w/ THE ADVICE AND CONSENT OF THE SENATE." Reserve Corp officers do not require senate consent. This is identical to Regular Army (RA), Navy & AF. My RA commission states I was appointed by the President w/ advice & consent of the Senate. Army Reserve officers are appointed by President w/o Senate consent. No "[unscrupulous] would be dictator" in spite of the manipulative video editing
