Rousseau has had a quite exceptional international breeding career. He became premium stallion in Holland in 2001 and did an excellent bruksprov in Ermelo. This was followed by success in the colt champion Athens.
As 4-year-old colt, he won the Dutch championship and finished second in 5-year-old with a mark of 10 in ridbarhet. He won KWPNs stallion competitions to 5-year-old and was second in the colt-VM. The results led to a rapid approval of the unions in Hannover, Oldenburg and Westphalia.
Rousseau has a performance-qualified dressage pedigree. Father Ferro has medals in Olympic, world and European championships.
