  • hey,

    guitar5525 u said u own a marine fish shop?

what is the name of it?

U said that u are a expert then u should be giving advice not arguing with a kid..

Experts give advice to people who really want to learn..

Only kids would argue with kids..

The boy only wanted to ask for help and u scolded him, wth?

If u do not want him to waste his money or kill any fish, u can politely tell him the reason..

  • guitar5525 is a dick.if i wanted ur advice id go to your gay little chatroom.but i dont. so shut up

  • do u need a heater for saltwater fish?

  • deep six. that's whhat she said. lol

  • @Keanudabeast No...but there are benefits, and a few drawbacks. Smaller tanks, such as a five gallon, tend to react or change faster than larger tanks. I think they are a great way to start too, if you can keep a five gallon going then certainly a larger tank is a cinch. Sumps are great, I love the tanks I have with them. But I still have small tanks without them, one has been successful since 1996--both work. Sumps keep it easier, but are absolutely necessary.

  • @RandomProductions81 There are many brands of salt water salt out there. Salt for salt water aquariums is made and tested so that the results are consistent. By having "known" or "tested trace elements" which are consistent it allows the user to help troubleshoot problems. Most salt for salt water aquariums it purchased at a fish store. It is mixed with water and then added (hopefully slowly!) to the tank. Sometimes the amount of water to salt is adjusted to adjust the tank but not always.

  • @wolf3047 Good question. I have helped beginners start both freshwater and saltwater. Each type of tank can be simple or complicated, I think either can be very successful for beginners. If you were most interested in Saltwater or a marine tank, spend time studying about it first. Not adding a bunch of fish or corals but starting slowly seems to help. If you can, find someone who has a tank and is successful to guide you along. Get a basic tank going then add stuff slowly.

  • How many years of freshwater fish keeping would you reccomend before going on to saltwater?
