@akisspyros No. In his interviews, he says he didn't even know of a teacher in his hometown, so he learned from books, and by ear, listening to records. His first instrument was the violin, but he switched to the drums at 15. He was a signed recording artist at 18, joined Deep Purple at 19, and the rest is rock history.
