I agree dv - my favorite cher album - the arrangements weren't the best (if only they hadn't tried so hard to update the wonderful songs) but her voice is fabulous on this disc

Some critics slammed "Bittersweet White Light," but I'd bought it before it was a year old, still have it and still love it. Cher fearlessly took on these standards, as both Diana Ross and Bette Midler were also doing at the time, and Cher's work stands favorably alongside that of her diva 'sisters.' All three exposed the young fans of their pop hits to rearrangements of classics 'their parents would know' and injected welcome new life into songs that should never die.
