It's effective when it comes to keeping guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens. It does nothing to stop criminals from getting guns. I mean, heroin is illegal, but does that stop junkies?

Republicans they are just as bad. Its the good cop bad cop routine. 4 yrs of Republicans then 4 years of Democrats but all the same agenda. I just think the east coast was a poor choice for locales. should have chosen the heartland in a red state surrounded by red states for insulation. Montana, Idaho, North Dakota, even Oklahoma even. Even Texas Ron Pauls home state your like surrounded by the enemy your cut off and the enemy is infiltrating your lines weekly

The Democrats were elected in 2006 as a backlash against Bush and they will be out in 2010. Even with Democrats running things, the legislature is still more pro-liberty than most states.

Yes. The GOP will re-take the NH House this year and the ban will be overturned shortly thereafter, probably followed by a bill that will keep it from happening in the future.

The GOP is going to re-take the New Hampshire House in November so this gun ban is going to be very short lived.
