I was just playing the first movement of the moonlight sonata - same key - and it struck me how there was an affinity in mood between both pieces; something to do with being brooding, haunting and mysterious...

I know this piece very well. It's one of my favourite Chopin pieces. Whoever the guy is playing this piece... he is a highly creative and sensitive musical guy. Gradations of sound, lyricism and phrasing...
I've just had an experiernce that makes me trust in humanity again.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
