@marinebalajii Ok thanks -am planing to Kovalam and then work my way to Chennai. Have just been looking at Kovalam's new artificial reef. can search on youtube "kovalam reef" -amazing technology and the surf looks much improved. Only in India:) - I can't wait for my hols

Hello Sir - looks like a fantastic voyage you completed and a very worthy cause. I'm interested to know if you can recomend where the big surf is breaking. I would like to come in may for surf trip can you recomend a place with good surf near chennai.

Hello,
kovalam beach is good close to chennai for long distance smooth surfing. its good for kayaers as the wave take for a long distance when they turned around in the small enclaved water.
Big surfs are seasonal (monsoon) along the entire coramanadel coast. Beaches in auroville are good for surfers.
