A row of teeth is released and you have to pick them out of your skin. Pretty painful.One that is 3 meters could do you some serious damage if you messed with it. Constriction wise, they are twice as fast and strong as a Boa.
Those guys are super fast and, unless you are good, you WILL get bit trying to catch one. I've been bitten twice by Micas.
Thanks for posting -- just returned from a trip to Corcovado, where we encountered this snake, which is commonly called the Oriole Snake. The one we saw was easily 3 meters long and wasn't shy of our presence at all.
Thanks for posting this video, I just identified a sake I saw in Panama as this species and this was the only video of it I could find. Careful filming them, they do bite and it's reported to be fairly unpleasant.
