God, those were the days! Late teens, 82d Airborne Division, eating at those over-hyped franchises, first years of Farscape, last years of MST3K, Metal Gear Solid on PSX being the best game out there...
God, those were the days!

This is going to sound strange but this was the first commercial that led me know about the new Star Wars Trilogy.

Actually he was Kentucky Colonel, it's a title they gave to (mostly) men in the South who were important (sort of like what knighthood is in Britain, now). Sanders decided to play off the idea and model his public persona after the old Southern Colonels from cartoons and movies (an eldery Southern gentleman with the goatee, the white suit, the walking stick)

Movies like Transformers and Avatar never had this kind of promotion.

goddamn it

hes a phony

@AMEwrestling Yeah he did. They probably had a poser. XD

I thought Colonel Sanders died in 1980. What the hell is he doing in a 1999 commercial? I miss the Taco Bell dog. I don't know anything about the Pizza Hut girl.

Taco, pizza and KFC used to be so cool.
